St. Francis of Assisi Academy is situated north of Okotoks, in the Davisburg area. St. Francis of Assisi Academy opened its doors for the first time on August 30, 2016.
The school opened with a capacity of approximately 300 students from Kindergarten to Grade 7 in September 2016 and plans to add Grade 8 and 9 over the following two years.
The state-of-the-art facility features one of the largest gymnasiums in the division, 13 large classrooms, a high tech New Media suite, a Band room, and a large Foods lab. It has an Atrium where older students can eat lunch. CTR also has a joint use agreement so students can access the Scott Seaman Sports Rink next door for various programs. This year we were able to run a Learn to Skate program at Grades 1-5 and a Recreational Hockey Option at Grades 6/7.
Faith is at the core of our school and permeates everything we do. The other main areas of focus are Literacy, Numeracy, and Physical Education. A unique feature to the school’s programming is an enhanced Math and Numeracy Program.
